Artist Wang Xiaojin was born in 1968 in Inner Mongolia (Nei Mengu), China. In 1991, he completed his studies at the Pedagogical University, Shandong, China, Faculty of Art.
Now Wang Xiaojin specializes in Chinese painting, but this was not always the case.
The artist says: “The culture of China is very wise and boundless. As a native Chinese, I am just starting to scratch the surface of the culture of this vast civilization.
Alas, I did not always feel that this is my way. Starting to study painting, I was fascinated by the western way of life – its art and traditions.
I could endlessly talk about Greek culture, Rembrandt, Rubens, etc. Western culture interested me more than my own; Chinese ink painting seemed outdated, while oil paintings were very fashionable.
And now, because of this, I am a little ashamed. Indeed, in fact, I am deeply proud of my roots and the way we are constantly growing in the artistic field, both in terms of skill and in terms of world recognition. ”
